Mitr Foundation is a registered Trust formed by a group of friends, who are passionate about building a better and impartial society. As the name suggests ‘Mitr‘ is a true friend to the less fortunate – a non-profit organization registered in 2004, with the aim of supporting the education of school-going children in the urban slum areas of the twin cities of Hyderabad /Secunderabad.
Our vision is to contribute / provide a change that every child in India deserves and is hoping for. We believe that, providing education for the underprivileged child is a critical area of investment and it is our conviction to equip the children we support with a formal education and an environment to strengthen their self confidence and access developmental opportunities that mainstream children enjoy.

- Only 50% of Indian children have access to primary education.
